Default Patient perspectives following revision shoulder arthroplasty

This past week I was pleased to see 2 patients in whom I previously performed reverse shoulder arthroplasty as a revision for painful hemiarthroplasty.

They were kind enough to share their perspectives about the surgery and how they are doing. I have provided links below for those interested in understanding the potential benefit of revision surgery should you currently have a painful shoulder after a previous replacement--or have a friend or loved one who does.

DA shares his perspective 6 weeks after revision for glenoid wear. He originally had a hemiarthroplasty rather than a total, and I revised him to a reverse because of the extent of the glenoid wear and my concern about the strength of his cuff musculature.
